Lorraine Bowen‘s fabulous show is a fun, comedy, catwalk cabaret starring her personal collection of polyester dresses, jackets, trousers and housecoats from the 1960s to the present day!

Polyester was invented in 1941 in Manchester and deserves a great show after over 70 years on this planet! Lorraine mixes her original hit songs with popular charity shop hit tracks to create a fun and loving homage to the textile.

Alasdair Sheard plays the geeky scientist and explains some important facts about polyester in a charmingly educational and funny way. Sam Nixon and Clare Fowler are the two fabulous dancers who accompany Lorraine on the catwalk and parade polyester swimsuits, swinging sixties dresses and space outfits among many others!

Lorraine Bowen’s Polyester Fiesta has been performed at London’s Vintage Festival, the Battersea Barge and Brighton’s Komedia, the central library in Brighton and the Tron Theatre in Glasgow to tumultuous applause.

Polyester Fiesta doesn’t need a raised catwalk – just a stage, floor space, some chairs, lights and a PA. The show is divided up into sections such as cleaning outfits, bedwear, sportswear, holiday wear and swinging sixties outfits, so these can be divided up if necessary and performed as 15 mins vignettes.
