Biography

15 years ago, Aydenne Simone stepped onto the small stage of a West End bar in London, and never left! The stage is Aydenne’s home. This jazz diva, nominated for the Nina Simone Jazz Award in 2011, is a powerhouse musical talent, with deep sensuous velvet tones and an ability to deliver that rare timeless quality attributed to the great jazz singers of the 20th century. Aydenne is available for live Covid-safe and socially distanced events.

Her album ‘Black Coffee’ was produced by Roger Limb, who spent 30 years as a producer at the BBC, producing music for programmes like Miss Marple and Dr. Who. Roger also did all the programming, synth and piano work on the album.

They’ve been playing together for 16 years, and still love it.

Aydenne Simone has performed with her band Jazz Culture in some of London’s finest restaurants and venues across the south of the UK, including Jazz Café, Jazz in The Park, The Chop House, and an 18-month residency at Mezzo, Wardour Street, before flying to Singapore to take up a three-month residency at the 5 star Shangri-la Hotel in Singapore. Aydenne has performed at prestigious festivals including the Isle of Wight Jazz Diva Festival.

Aydenne can create a beautiful subtle atmosphere for dining, or a powerful jazz night (with plenty of soul) that includes great party numbers everyone knows and loves, guaranteed to keep your guests on their feet and having a fantastic time.
