Originating from a small town near Harare, Zimbabwe, this musical collective led by mbira master Linos Wengara Magaya plays an uplifting mix of traditional and original mbira-reggae style music on marimba, mbira, mosho and bass.
Zimbaremabwe have played with names like Thomas Mapfumo, Andy Brown, Lubumbashi Star and Black Umfolosi and have many shows to their name, from festivals such as Womad and venues like the Brighton Dome and the Africa Centre in London as well as special events across the globe.
They perform regularly and also teach traditional arts such as mbira music, dance and song in workshops across the country.
