Z-STAR is an incredibly talented performer, songwriter, musician and producer. Offering psyche-soul-blues-rock music as a soloist and with her band, Z-Star has achieved a global following with her electro-soul project SLOWTRAINSOUL, has had her music featured on hit TV series Californication, Six Feet Under, Ugly Betty and CSI:Miami and has sold in excess of 3 million in combined compilation sales.

Admired by many major musical heavyweights, Z-STAR has written and recorded for artists such as George Benson, John McLaughlin, Terry Callier, Omar, Meshell Ndegecello, Bluey, Sinead O’Connor and Keziah Jones to name a few.

Z-STAR is “a mesmerising live performer” (Time FM) whose dynamic stage shows have led her to major festivals (Glastonbury, WOMAD), TV and concert venues (Albert Hall, NY Radio City Hall..) and across Europe, America and Russia.

To see Z-STAR live is a deeply moving experience. Musically, she is hard to box. Mixing soul, rock, astral blues, jazz, roots and reggae, “the result is fantastic and wonderfully unclassifiable” (Il Venerdi).

Born in East London to Trinidadian parents, Z-STAR has an uncanny ability to guide, lift and shift energy, taking her audiences into outer space onboard her cosmic spaceship. Her inimitable talent for improvising onstage is exhilarating to watch and has given her the opportunity to perform with Eric Clapton at The Royal Albert Hall, Nigel Kennedy at the Berlin Philharmonic Festspielhaus, Arthur Brown at The Royal Festival Hall, the Asian Dub Foundation at La Scala and -M- (Matthieu Chedid) at Festival Chorus to name but a few.
