Nitin Sawhney, Z Star and Gilad Atzmon have all been through the ranks of this special band that has been going strong since 1992. The band continues to make original, but intelligent jazzy, deep funk grooves with the Soul Immigrants, who are much in demand.
The band’s incredible variety shows itself through their music, and, combined with the influence of a previous generation of funk and disco, results in a singular musical character that would be hard to emulate.
Soul Immigrants don’t pander to whatever sound is currently fashionable. They have unmistakable talent for performance and composition, that any fan of funk shouldn’t miss out on.
