Ska Toons is a Brighton-based eight-piece jazz-ska outfit inspired by the likes of The Skatalites, Jazz Jamaica, Miles Davis and James Brown.

A tight, punchy mix of rocksteady, old-school ska, funk and jazz, Ska Toons are great for dancing and guaranteed to put a smile on anyone’s face.

Ska Toons are very much an old-school ska band. This doesn’t mean they just do ska classics, though. They also give the ska treatment to jazz standards and classic pop. Charlie Mingus’ ‘Fables of Faubus’, Charlie Parker’s ‘Barbados’ and Glenn Campbell’s ‘Wichita Lineman’ all get ska-ed up along with great old-school ska faves like ‘Guns of Navarone’, ‘The Liquidator’, ‘Occupation’ and ‘Mission Impossible’.
