Nerine Skinner
Nerine Skinner is an extremely talented and funny MC, actress, comedian, improviser and deviser! Her hilarious sketches and characters include ‘Liv Struss‘, ‘Sadie the Roller-skater Motivator‘, ‘Clara-Lou the Influencer’ and many more. As an MC, she can bring all her comedic skills to the fore or inspire guests as a motivational speaker. Nerine is also known for reaching the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent with comedy cabaret trio, ‘The Dots’, in which she played a hopeless understudy where everything that could possibly go wrong, did! Before that, The Dots had huge success in Edinburgh and came 13th in The List’s most-rated shows of the festival.
Most recently, Nerine went viral with her parodies of Liz Truss and gained thousands of subscribers and millions of views on YouTube. Since then, she has written and produced her own solo show for Camden Fringe and the Women in Comedy Festival and has just come runner-up in the prestigious Funny Women Awards for Content Creator 2023 and won the coveted “crown” competition at The Cavendish Arms.
Nerine trained at The Arts Educational Schools, London in Musical Theatre and, before that, at The Brit School. However, comedy has always been her passion and after starting stand-up, she was hooked. She met comedy duo partner, Lizzie Franks while performing in a pantomime playing those integral roles, or bread rolls, Baguette and Croissant in ‘Beauty and The Beast’ and they soon formed ‘Franks and Skinner’ and received 5-star reviews at the Edinburgh Festival.
Nerine loves devising new work and has collaborated and performed on many projects, from secret plays in the Seychelles to clown shows, immersive productions and a Roald Dahl children’s show that has toured internationally to rave reviews.
Currently, she can be seen in ‘Faulty Towers, The Dining Experience’ as Sybil Faulty and occasionally on TV and radio with her political parodies.
Nerine performed her debut show, ‘The Rise and Fall of Nerine Skinner (A Liz Truss Parody)’ at The Leicester Comedy Festival in February 2024.
