Combining gorgeous folk music with alternative country-pop, The Mountain Firework Co. delivers catchy melodies woven with thoughtful lyrics and intuitive instrumentation. Sending their listeners back to the misty majesty of the Ozark mountains, this talented group has created a unique sound that is as dark and brooding as it is cheeky and beautiful.
Biography
The Mountain Firework Co. was formed by four guys who at one time or another worked in the same bar in Brighton, UK. They came together over heartache and wine to create what’s been described as “gorgeous folk/alt-country pop – equal parts darkness and cheeky humour” and “a unique mix of swamp-folk and alt-country blues”.
One member left to drink and follow a woman, two more joined, and then a third to make six, between them having 36 strings – that’s a lot of strings and talent.
