It would be a tragedy if some thoughtless people ruined the fun for everyone by running, jumping, or doing gymnastics…

Perched on their high chairs The Lifeguards attempt to keep the fun strictly under control, and anyone caught doing any funny business can expect to be severely admonished.

Only sensible lane swimming and synchronised strolling is permitted by these ‘Speedo-clad warriors’.

They also lead the public in a strict stretching and lunging programme as part of their mission to keep the fun out of sport.

HOW IT WORKS
The Lifeguards set their ladders up either side of a busy walkway and interact with passers-by from either the ladders or at ground-level. They use a sampler with comic sound effects to really get their rules across.

They can also perform a mobile version on foot with no ladders for busy indoor venues. They have even performed on ice skates at winter wonderland events!

This is an original piece of street theatre that can animate a large area from any suitable vantage point. They classify it as a ‘static walkabout’ entertainment.

Ideal for public spaces, festivals and conferences where people are on the move.
