CARIBBEAN PARTY BAND
This is the band’s speciality! Choose from a 3, 4, 5, or 6-piece lineup to get your guests moving and grooving all night long.
The band plays a steamy mix of dance hall Soca (that gets the audience to do the popular carnival dances led by the band), Calypso hits, samba, bossa nova, rumba, merengue, some funky reggae, a spoonful of salsa and a sprinkling of Caribbean jazz, all topped with vocals and harmonies.
ACOUSTIC ALL STEEL PAN
Ideal for background or non-intrusive music, you can choose from a 3 or 4-piece lineup that will musically send your guests off to a palm-fringed Caribbean shore.
Although there are no vocals featured, the band’s experienced musicians produce authentic steel pan sounds that are absolutely heavenly. With a repertoire ranging from Caribbean standards to saucy calypso, merengue, samba and hot ‘n’ spicy rumba, this is the perfect accompaniment to any intimate soiree.
LIMBO DANCING
Hot Tropics can also provide their own limbo poles! This interactive and participatory dance guarantees to get everyone onto the dance floor to see just how low they can go!
Hot Tropics are fully self-contained with their own PA, mics, stage lighting pack, Caribbean backdrops and other decorations to make the stage area extra “tropical”.
The line-up includes steelpans, bass, keyboards, percussion (congas, bongos, djembe) and assorted shakers which are handed out among the audience with an invitation to “join the band”.
Hot Tropics have entertained and amazed countless crowds with their feel-good music, including the Prince of Wales who invited the band to Kensington Palace where they received a commendation as ambassadors for Caribbean music.
