Biography

The Giant Turtle is turtle-y eye-catching and a truly unique addition to any festival, parade or street party. Create an instant party vibe with one of nature’s coolest creatures!

The gorgeous Giant Turtle is 7.8m long x 3m high with a 5.4m wingspan – it moves smoothly along streets and within open spaces, creating a fantastic atmosphere with or without a DJ in full flow.

For an extra fee, the Giant Turtle can be accompanied by its own troupe of dancers dressed as mermaids and other sea characters, who will interact with your audience and encourage them to join in with the party!

How the Giant Turtle works:

The Giant Turtle is powered by a unique battery-driven mobile base that can cope with most surfaces, including dreaded festival mud. The head and mouth are animated (the turtle likes to sing along at times) and the front flippers swim using an electric motor.

Although very wide when the flippers are fully extended, the turtle is a “swing wing” turtle, meaning it can shrink down to 3m wide.

At night, the turtle is internally lit with colour-changing lighting effects as well as additional external sound-to light effects .

Concealed within the shell of the Turtle is a mobile stage that makes a great performance platform for up to four people, or a giant turtle egg concealing a performer.
