Award-winning comedian George Egg cooks in hotel rooms using the equipment that they unwittingly provide. With an iron, a kettle, a hairdryer and even a Corby trouser press, he shows how, with a little experimentation, imagination and creativity, a hotel bedroom can be turned into a working kitchen.

George can perform a routine lasting 10, 15, or 20 minutes (or longer on request). In the performance, studded with jokes, facts and amusing anecdotes, George explains his methods and experiences whilst simultaneously preparing a plate of surprisingly impressive food on the aforementioned equipment. It might be pancakes prepared on irons, fish poached in a travel kettle or even a full English breakfast (the food can sometimes be tailored to the occasion, given notice and within reason).

An experienced comedian who’s been performing internationally for over two decades, George also makes a professional and amiable host for awards and presentations and can follow the routine by hosting the event.

While George’s cooking routine is ideal for corporate events connected with the food and the catering industry he is of course equally suited to any occasion where inspiration, innovation and a demonstration of divergent thinking are what’s called for.
