Biography

Past performances include headline slots at Secret Garden Party, Wilderness Festival, Boomtown, Parma Swing Festival, Hep Cats Holiday and Rhythm Riot, as well as large-scale private events for Lush cosmetics in Amsterdam, White Mink in Italy, the Royal Northern College of Music’s Summer Ball, the opening of the St. Regis hotel in Mumbai and the Clore Ballroom as part of the lavish Hemingway Vintage Festival at the Southbank Centre in London.

The Flames of Rhythm have earned a reputation as a top festival/party swing band for their high-energy performances and immersive crowd experiences.

The band’s repertoire is a combination of tight original numbers and explosive interpretations of classic hot jazz, swing, rhythm ’n’ blues and gospel numbers from the golden era of these musical genres (the 1920s-1950s).

As well as having a reputation for an incredibly hot, authentic sound, the band is well known for its unique sense of style and presentation with its members dressed to the nines in sharp and eccentric tailored vintage attire.

The band is led by legendary showman Natty Congeroo, a popular, stylish and flamboyant singer/ dancer/DJ and all-round Hep Cat who has been performing at the top of his game for many years. The other band members include The Sizzle, The Killer Diller, Lá Bass, Dr Kitch and La Mamba, who provide unrivalled levels of excitement and astonishing musical skill.
