As multi-instrumentalists, Clann na Mara come together to explore Celtic Music in both its traditional and contemporary forms with extended compositions and arrangements, as well as improvisation and strong rhythmical content.

Formed in 1998 after supporting Alan Stivell at Plouvorn in Brittany, the group features musicians with a wealth of instrumental talents including whistle, long whistle, accordion, soprano saxophone, guitar, vocals, violin, mandolin and jazz clarinet.

All members of Clann na Mara come from an experienced performance background, having played in bands, at festivals, clubs, and with a host of other notable artists in the jazz, rock, Celtic, and folk spheres.
