Biography
“I just love them – who doesn’t? Björn Again opened for Nivana at the Reading festival; they stole the show and got the best response of the day – everyone went berserk”
Dave Grohl
Björn Again is the original and internationally acclaimed ABBA tribute show that has been entertaining audiences across the globe since 1988. Created in Melbourne, Australia, the production revolutionised the tribute genre by combining exceptional live musicianship with theatrical performance, tongue-in-cheek humour and the unmistakable songs of one of pop music’s greatest bands.
Arriving at a time when ABBA’s music had largely disappeared from mainstream radio and popular culture, Björn Again introduced a fresh and entertaining take on the Swedish supergroup’s catalogue. Its distinctive mix of authentic performances, comedy and rock-infused arrangements earned worldwide recognition and is widely credited with helping spark the global ABBA revival that paved the way for ABBA Gold, Muriel’s Wedding, MAMMA MIA! and, most recently, ABBA Voyage.
Over nearly four decades, Björn Again has performed more than 5,800 concerts in 77 countries, appearing in arenas, theatres, festivals, corporate events and major international celebrations. The show has earned praise from audiences worldwide and recognition from members of the music industry, including ABBA’s Agnetha Fältskog.
Packed with all the iconic hits, dazzling costumes, audience interaction and plenty of humour,Björn Again continues to deliver an unforgettable live experience that celebrates the music and spirit of ABBA for fans of every generation.
