The Cyr wheel (also known as the roue Cyr, mono wheel, or simple wheel) is an acrobatic device popularised in the early 20th century. It consists of a single large, metal hoop and is used in a similar manner to a German wheel with the acrobat rolling the wheel around the stage from the inside.
