Biography

Alongside educating people about the Maori culture, they give insight into the winning methodologies used by the New Zealand rugby team, the All Blacks, and what makes them so successful. This will inspire your own teams to reach their full potential, and build lasting working relationships with one another.

They can provide you with fun, engaging and informative team-building workshops where you’ll learn more about what matters to you as a person, a business, a family member and a leader through Maori protocols, mantras, song and dance (Haka).

Or, they can provide a straightforward performance at your event or surprise guests with a flash mob Haka-style to add to the atmosphere of the event and get everyone involved.

Some of the workshops Haka Tui provide include: 

ENERGISER
This 30 mins workshop includes a surprise entrance, Haka performance and a brief history of Haka, including the story of the Haka ‘Ka Mate’ before teaching the audience how to do it! This can be run online via Zoom or at a place of your choice with all social distancing procedures adhered to.

ULTIMATE
A longer workshop, lasting 1 hour, for a deeper understanding of the Maori culture. It includes a surprise entrance, two Haka performances, a full history of Maori and Haka, the history of the All Blacks, the history of Haka and their success story and teaching Haka to the audience. There is also the option to include face painting, learning a traditional Maori song or poi. This can be run online via Zoom or at a place of your choice with all social distancing measures adhered to.

CREATE YOUR OWN HAKA!
This workshop involves a lot more interaction from your staff and they help you put it together. A company’s core values are the foundation of where successful businesses grow. Haka Tui incorporates your team values to create a Haka for your business. They will create the Haka in English, making it powerful and full of intent before translating this to Maori, right on the spot! Your team helps to create the Haka lyrics and its actions. This workshop can last up to 2 hours and can be run online via Zoom or at a place of your choice with all social distancing measures adhered to.

1-TO-1 ONLINE
This is a private 1-2-1 online session via Zoom that lasts 1 hour. Structured to run openly with a chance to go over words, meanings, Q&A and more.
