Chi Chi Revolver

Biography

Chi Chi Revolver is a cabaret, burlesque and circus performer specialising in hula hoop. She has studied circus and clowning arts all her life. She began her performance career working with ‘Ziz Ziz Kaboom!’ Circus at the age of three and since then has performed regularly all over the world.

Chi Chi has been touring for the last 6 years with Fred’s Flying Circus which is a tented touring circus. Circus skills include static trapeze, hula hooping (including split multi-hooping, hooping with 30 hoops and fire hooping), magic (magic illusions, and also stage comedy magic) and juggling (3 balls/clubs and hoops, can pass clubs, also contact juggling). She performs and runs workshops all over the country.

Chi Chi has performed in many cabarets and clubs, performing magic, hula hooping and burlesque. Some of her past notable venues include Voodoo Vaudeville, Comedy Store Manchester, The Camden Roundhouse, Cirque Du Soir, Proud Brighton Ballroom, Glastonbury Festival, Madame Jojos, London Tattoo Convention, Cafe de Paris and Times Square New York.

CIRCUS HOOP ROUTINE
Fun, bouncy and upbeat, this routine is suitable for all audiences from schools to nightclubs! Watch Chi Chi increase the number of hoops she hula hoops with, using impressive multi-hooping skills. Ther routine ends with Chi Chi turning into a tornado of colour as she spins 30 hoops at once around her body! Approximately 4 mins.

HOOP TEASE ROUTINE
Playful, cheeky and a little saucy… This is a burlesque hula hoop striptease! Chi Chi hoops with one hula hoop while removing her clothes down to pants and pasties, the routine climaxes with 30 hoops spinning around her! Approximately 4 mins.

GOGO HOOPING
Very popular in London clubs, this is where Chi Chi hoops and dances on a bar, podium or stage in time with the club’s music. Much the same as a gogo dancer but with the added twist of a hula hoop. Sets of approximately 20 mins.

OTHER CIRCUS ROUTINES
Chi Chi can perform with a fire hoop and LED hoops. She also performs static trapeze, juggling, contact juggling and has a comedy magic striptease.

CHI CHI AND HER FATHER FRED
Looking for something just a little bit extra special? Then book father and daughter, Fred and Chi Chi, together! They have worked with each other all of Chi Chi’s life and have run Fred’s Flying Circus for the last 6 years. Fred, European Street Entertainer of the Year, is a marvellous close-up magician whose career has taken him all over the world from the Magic Centre in Las Vegas to Beijing and Hong Kong plus the Ivry Street Festival in Paris.

LA BORDELLO BOHEME
La Bordello Boheme is the brainchild of Veronica Blacklace and Billie Rae, two well-established names on the cabaret scene in the UK and internationally. Based in Brighton, Bordello Boheme have been putting on regular monthly sell-out shows as well as recent sell-out successes in New York and London.

With their combined talents and with the invaluable aid of the incredible Chi Chi Revolver and other guest performers, Bordello Boheme are able to create a show filled with circus magic, cabaret sass, song and glamorous burlesque.

Chi Chi revolver holds the Guinness World Record for most rotations of a hula hoop in one minute while suspended upside down.
