Victorian Carol Singers
These Victorian Carol Singers perform a variety of traditional Victorian Carols but with a unique twist, adding fun and humour to the proceedings. They like to perform traditional Christmas songs, but every third or fourth song, you may find it becomes a little more animated and modernised, with dancing, gestures, and even physical storytelling thrown into the mix!
Biography
You may also find some of the lyrics mixed up into a medley of songs with modern lyrics thrown in. But order is always restored as our Victorian performers know that to be taken seriously as carol singers, they must stick to the traditional songs.
Celebrate Christmas with this performance featuring classic ditties from the period, including ‘O, Christmas Tree’, ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ and ‘Hark the Herald’, certain to get everyone singing along! The performance also includes comic interludes between songs.
They combine great singing with a street theatre flare that gets audiences engaged and interacting with the traditional singers.
(All songs can be edited and a more strict/formal carol singing performance can be provided).
