Originally from Tanzania in East Africa, The Black Eagles learned their acrobatic skills on the streets of Dar es Salaam, wowing small audiences at first before going on to tour extensively in South Africa at the Brian Boswell Circus, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Following this, they travelled to the United Kingdom, taking on their stage name the Black Eagles.
Since then, they have appeared all over the UK and Europe at festivals including Womad (UK, Spain and The Canary Islands), Glastonbury Festival, Sidmouth International Festival, The Royal Albert Hall, Canary Wharf, Sunderland Football Stadium (Stadium of Light), The Queen’s Jubilee and the Commonwealth Olympics in Manchester. They also appeared on various TV programmes, including The Slammer (BBC1), Blue Peter and many more.
The Black Eagles present incredible shows for any environment combining stunning acrobatic skills, energetic dancing and an uplifting African musical soundtrack. The result is a circus acrobatic show that is as impressive as it is breathtaking, never failing to wow audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
A standard Black Eagles show is 2 x 25 minutes of either acrobatic, hoops, limbo or samba. They supply their own music and have their own PA if needed. This act normally performs as a trio but up to five acrobats are available.
