Biography
As a DJ Denise is always in demand for her upbeat-happiness-inducing performances which always thrill the crowds. She plays a range of music genres from 80’s hits to the latest popular music. Whether at a festival or a personal performance Denise Van Outen is a natural born entertainer. Her personality shines at every event she attends whether as Host or Celebrity DJ.
Denise’s early acting career saw her appear in cult favourite dramas like BBC’s The Bill before making her big break on daytime television programmes like Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast. Denise quickly became one of the nation’s favourite presenters and over the last 20 years has presented on a string of the biggest daytime television shows from ITV’s Lorraine, ITV’s Loose Women to BBC’s Any Dream will do, Steph’s Packed Lunch to Channel 4’s Something for the Weekend.
She has appeared on the stage with great success starring in ‘Chicago’ (West End and Broadway), ‘Tell Me on a Sunday’ (West End), ‘Legally Blonde’ (West End) and ‘Rent’ (West End). She headlines ‘Proud Cabaret’ to sell-out shows in London and you will have heard her narrating one of the UK’s biggest reality shows, ‘The Only Way Is Essex’.
Denise Van Outen has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, played in Eastenders as part of the show’s thirtieth anniversary celebrations and more recently has enjoyed being a judge for two seasons of ‘Ireland’s Got Talent’ for TV3. Since then, Denise has continued to appear in a variety of shows including ‘Dancing on Ice’, ‘The Celebrity Circle’, ‘Cooking with the Stars’ and even appeared on the UK version of ‘The Masked Singer’ as ‘Fox’ in the show’s premiere series! She featured as guest judge on ‘The Masked Singer Live’ in 2022 too.
Her acting career has seen her appear in 8 films including cameo appearances and animated specials. Most famously, she appeared in Keith Lemon: The Film and Run for Your Wife alongside Danny Dyer.
Whilst pregnant with her daughter, Denise designed and launched her own maternity clothing range with ‘Very’ and wrote a book about her experiences of pregnancy called ‘Bumpalicious’. The book proved so popular that Denise released a follow up called ‘Adventures of Parenthood’. Denise’s autography ‘A Bit Of Me’ was released in March 2022.
Denise has been brand ambassador for many high street retailers including M&S and has also partnered with a range of brands on her social accounts including ‘Hello Fresh’, ‘Dr PawPaw’, ‘Hartleys’ and ‘Ninja Food’. In 2021, Denise was one of the famous faces taking part in the Census TV campaign.
Denise is a passionate fundraiser too, and in the past has embarked on huge personal challenges that saw her climb Kilimanjaro, cycle one hundred and eighty seven miles across parts of India and even completed a Himalayan trek in search of the Dalai Lama!
