Trudi Styles and Freddy On Friday.  Jim Devereaux as Freddy Mercury.  Come & sing along to all Freddy’s greatest hits.  The nearest thing to Freddy you’ll ever see!  7.30pm.  £7. Followed by Boom Boom Saloon play the top 100 gay anthems by DJ Lornegerie.  Expect a bit of country, Bossanova, Calypso, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Northern Soul & Motown. Til late.  £free.

Saturday 2nd August

DJs play the top 100 gay anthems at the Boom Boom Saloon with DJ Lornegerie…..YMCA, I’m Coming Out, I will Survive, Go West, You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real), Your Disco Needs You…we’ll play them all!  This is our weekend gathering for all those who fancy a late night drink or two to a background of great music.  From 9pm til late.  All are welcome!   Til late.  £free.

Joanne Arrowsmith.  A night of sexy soul!  After a sell out night at Joogleberry in October 2007, Joanne returns with her new band promoting her new album.  It has had rave reviews and Joanne and her band will be performing songs from the album, plus some great soul covers including songs by Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers and more. A night not to be missed! '....beautiful silky voice....a thoroughly entertaining evening...' 8pm.  £6.

Gay Tango Workshop.  Tango lessons for all!  7pm.  £very reasonable. 

Tuesday 5th August
The Space (Southern Performance and Creative Energies).  This is a unique monthly media and arts event with special guest interviews with David Morrissey (a much loved actor!) and Midfield General (DJ and co founder of Skint Records).  Plus tunes from resident DJ Lily "Zoot the Suit" and an amazing raffle draw. 7pm.  Show starts 7.30pm.  £5/£3.

Wednesday 6th August
Pan Promotions presents World Music Wednesdays.  Each Wednesday evening, the Latest Music Bar opens its doors to world music. Tonight it’s The Marietta Veulens Trio with classic era Cuban son, bolero and guaracha with Cuban pianist Marietta Veulens accompanied  by percussion and double bass.  8pm.  £7/£5 concessions.

Thursday 7th August
The Mighty Rivals + support. Ska and soul night special with very hot local bands.  8pm.  £3.  

Friday 8th August
Downstairs: Tuaca Event.  Italian spirit Tuaca is launching a national 'Discover' campaign that will showcase unearthed and unusual talent across the UK. Discover is coming to Brighton throughout July - showcasing everything from burlesque to acoustic music, comedy to saxophony - there's something to suit everyone.  8pm.  £tbc.

Pan Promotions presents World Music Wednesdays.  Each Wednesday evening, the Latest Music Bar opens its doors to world music.  Tonight it’s Le Petit Chat Noir: The Lost Sock Club.  30s and 40s Swing with rat-scat vocals and guitar from the infamous Mike the Mic (Fridge Magnets), joined by fiddle and double bass.  8pm.  £7/£5 concessions.

Friday 15th August
Downstairs:  This Is Elvis.  Anniversary of the Death Of Elvis.  It’s a full on party!  The ultimate revue of the kings career from ‘54 to’77.  8pm.  £12.

Wednesday 20th August

Thursday 21st August
Itchy Fingers.  An eclectic mix of live rock ‘n’ roll, pop, rock and country music.  Expect classic covers and new songs performed for the first time. Dancing shoes a must. Mike Carter and his band will mostly be facing the front. Throwing your underwear is not optional. Unfortunately, these guys don’t know when to stop.  Supported by the beautiful acoustic songwriting of Jedd Holden. 8pm. £5.
