Jo Hall

Jo Hall is a self taught London based singer songwriter, with a unique soul vocal, intricate harmonies and accomplished guitar style. This is combined with electrifying live performances.

Her influences range from luminaries as Joni Mitchell, Joan Armatrading, India Arie & Stevie Wonder to more contemporary artists such as Amy Winehouse, Jill Scott & Lauryn Hill. Despite her relatively short career, she has gigged with cult bands such as I am Kloot and relentlessly self funded three tours of the UK.

To date, she has been featured on numerous compilation releases, including Café Del Mar’s popular series, as well as having her songs used in various television and radio productions. More recently, she has been collaborating in, and outside the studio, on a number of a projects, which she describes as being ‘one of the most enjoyable tasks I have ever undertaken.’

Currently, Jo is in the process of consolidating material for her first full-length release, and plans to tour Europe and America in the next year. Elsewhere, and despite courting the attentions of varying sized labels, Jo is still trying to find the one that truly reflects the nature and style of her music.
