 Conceived late one night in Brighton’s ever-pregnant musical underbelly, Derriere delivers a playfully raunchy mix of old school rock and roll, vintage soul, rockabilly and jumpin’ rhythm n blues.

Derriere is the sound of the devastating double bass playing of Simon Le Bum and wailing blues guitar of T Bone LeRhone, locked in a tough tangle of rootsy riffs. The formidable horn section featuring the thundering trombone of Gram Canyon, and reed bending saxophonist Rosie Cheeks, blowing as if their lives depended upon it ... or their wallets at least ... All underpinned by the booty shaking rhythms of Redhands Mallon Jr, at one time one of the most feared sticksmen in Portslade. At the forefront of this collection of raw, soulful, hipsters are the ball breaking, brassiere busting vocals of fireball front-woman Gloria Stittes, whose voice will strip you naked, box you soundly about the ears, then throw you back out on the street where you belong. Ready your hips, open your lips – Derriere will take you from behind.

It should also be mentioned that members of this accomplished sextet have made several appearences on Mark Lamarr's Radio 2 show, performed at many gigs at major UK and European festivals, and released records that have been played on radio 1 and BBC 1 television.
